What to Bring

Legacy Village is a residential, inpatient program in a sober, drug and alcohol-free environment.  Clients have private, or semi-private rooms and bathrooms for their personal use during admission.  It is important to note, space is limited, so only bringing the essentials will be helpful.

Clothing

(Please note the location of the facility for your admission to determine the typical weather conditions) 

7 – Pairs of Jeans/Shorts
7 – Underwear / Bra
7 – Undershirts
4 – Misc. Outfits
2 – Tennis or Hiking Shoes

7 – Shirts (Dress Shirts, T-Shirts, Polo Shirts)
7 – Socks
1 – Swimming or Water Attire
1 – Shower Shoes (optional)
1 – Sandals


No torn, ripped or revealing clothing items are allowed.  In addition, clothing with alcohol, drug or other disruptive images is NOT allowed.

Personal Hygiene

Clients should bring any personal hygiene items necessary (deodorant, toothpaste, soap, etc.) Clients are NOT permitted to have mouthwash that includes alcohol.

Personal Items

Personal grooming items are permitted: however, anything (regardless of size) that can be used as a weapon, including small files (knife) are NOT permitted.  You are not permitted to share personal hygiene items such as razors or hair-clippers.

Sex-toys, or other items of similar nature are NOT permitted.

Smoking

Smoking is permitted in designated areas.  Vaping is permitted; however, all vaping material must be purchased after your arrival and with staff supervision.

Cell Phones

Cell phones are permitted at Legacy Village, however, there are restrictions on access and usage times at each facility.  Cell phone policies for each location will be reviewed upon intake. 

Computers/Personal Devices

You may bring your laptop or personal device to Legacy Village; however, such devices are only available upon approval by your counselor and at prescribed times.  Items will remain secured by staff outside of allowable usage times.

Admission to Legacy Village​

Legacy Village understands how stressful reaching out for help can be. We are committed to making the admissions process as seamless as possible. Clients are referred to Legacy Village by a Department of Veterans Affairs provider. Clients must be eligible for VA healthcare benefits and must ask their primary care provider for a referral to the Community Care Network.
